5) Gianni de Biasi (Albania)

Appointed in 2011, and something of a left-field choice at the time – de Biasi had never managed outside Italy, and was taking over a team ranked 74th in the world. In four years, he’s led them to the verge of the world’s top 20, wins over France and Portugal, and a first ever major tournament. Everybody will want to draw them at the Euros, but they should be careful what they wish for.
